Paraiba Agates (so - called Polygonalagates) are pseudomorphoses from Agate to Calcite. The Agate has formed in the cavities of dissolved (weathered) Calcite Crystals, assuming the form of the Calcite Crystal. The finds were limited to a small region in Paraiba (Brazil), since about 20 years no new finds are known, accordingly rarely they are still to be received.
